A Kit of What a Ham Needs to Set-up a Eemrgency Communications Link
Amateur radio operators who are willing to fufill Congress' intent for starting amateur radio, to have a trained pool of radio technicans and operators who will assist in time of local and national emergency need have a "go-kit" ready to go so they can get on the air in times of emergency. There is no shortage of hams who think they have discovered what should go in the ideal kit and everyone should follow them. A more realistic view is that kits are organized around the equipment and operating interests a ham has. A very affluent ham is likely to have a more comprehensive kit than a ham who is on the budget and has old equipment.
