The antenna is the most important of the station.  It may the part of the station where one has the opportunity to make the gretatest impact.  Having the most expensive radio and biggest amplifier will not overcome a poorly designed antenna, feedline and antenna tuner system.

In an emergency your antennas may be damaged.  You may have to repair them or make a temporary emergency antenna.  If you are EmComm operator, need to either bring an antenna with you or build an emergency antenna.

American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Antenna Courses

The American Radio Relay League (ARRL) offers on-line courses on Antenna Design & Construction (EC-009), which in 2006 costs for members $65 and for non-members $95 and Antenna Modeling (EC-004), which costs members $85 and non-member $115.
